While many of us know that Ford is a major automobile manufacturer, some might not know that they produced their own cookbook. In addition to Fairlanes, Thunderbirds and F100's, Ford produced the "Ford Treasury of Favorite Recipes for Famous Eating Places" highlighting some of America's best restaurants.

The restaraunts and recipes in the book were selected from features appearing in Ford's monthly publication Ford Times. Grouped according to regions of the U.S., they made an excellent reference book for people on the road or wanting a good meal at home.

In addition, over 100 American artists were represented in each volume with their illustrations. Volume 3 of the Ford Cookbook contained 256 pages and was available to Ford Times subscribers for only $1.00 in 1960, otherwise non subscribers would have to fork over $1.95...ouch!

Here is a sampling of what you could find in Ford Times, a recipe for Miss Hullings Cafeteria in St. Louis, Missouri
